Black Friday Air Purifier Deals 2026: What to Check Before You Buy
An $80 air purifier looks like a bargain until you realize it’s too small for your living room and a replacement filter costs half as much as the machine. Before you start comparing discounts, measure the room and look up the filter. Those two numbers can save you more than the coupon code.
Black Friday is November 27. Levoit’s U.S. site says its savings begin November 17, with more products joining through November 27. Write down the exact model and its price now so you have something to compare when the sale starts. See Levoit’s Black Friday page.
1. Match the air purifier to the room
Start with the room where you’ll actually use it. Look for the clean air delivery rate, or CADR, which tells you how much filtered air the unit delivers. For a 200-square-foot room with an eight-foot ceiling, the EPA’s sizing guide suggests a minimum CADR of about 130 cubic feet per minute. When comparing coverage claims, check how many air changes per hour each brand used. Read the EPA’s air cleaner guide.
Three air purifiers to compare
Which size should I compare? Start with the Core Mini-P for a very small space, the Core 300S-P for a room around 200 square feet, and the Vital 200S-P for a larger room. Use the ratings below to check the fit. For high ceilings or an open floor plan, account for the extra space.
Here’s how three models from the same brand stack up when you compare room coverage at the same rate of 4.8 air changes per hour. Replacement filter prices below are Levoit’s regular U.S. prices as checked November 6. Check current offers before you buy.

2. Price the replacement filter before you buy
Look up the exact replacement filter and check its price, availability, and recommended replacement interval. Say one purifier costs $80 and uses $40 filters, while another costs $110 and uses $20 filters. After two replacements, you’ve spent $160 on the first one and $150 on the second. The cheaper machine can cost more to own.
3. Check the fan speed you’ll actually use
If the purifier is going in your bedroom, check the noise at the speed you expect to run overnight. A quiet sleep mode can be handy, but a purifier generally filters less air at a lower speed. I’d pay more attention to how it sounds and performs at a usable speed than to whether I can turn it on from my phone. See the EPA’s operating guidance.
4. Check the filter you already have
A portable purifier recirculates air in a room. Your central AC or furnace filter works on the air moving through your HVAC system when it runs. If you haven’t looked at that filter in a while, check the label for the size. For a thicker media filter, note the model number and actual dimensions too. Two filters with the same advertised size can have different actual dimensions. See an example with 20×25×4 filters.
